ABOUT DIGIARCHEOSPACE:
The project aims to modernize the higher education by providing educational materials and modern tools for documenting and presenting the cultural heritage in archeology (digital archeology). The developed Competence Framework, Leaning Management System, movies, guide and training activities aim to improve the knowledge and skills of university teachers, archivists and experts working in the area of digitization of archeological cultural heritage.
The project combines development of educational materials, training activities, exchange of experience and dissemination efforts including:
– Development of Competence Framework and Learning Management System using micro-credentials approach;
– Development of educational videos, guide and other materials suitable for higher education;
– Training activities and exchange of experience in the area of digital archeology;
– Dissemination of the results among higher education organizations and other educational/training organizations.
TARGET GROUPS
The main target group will consist of:
– Trainers in the field of digitization of archeological cultural heritage;
– Professors/teachers in universities in fields of archeology, history of arts, archive and library studies;
– Experts working in digitization projects related to archeology;
In addition to the main target group the potential beneficiaries include students in the fields of archeology, history of arts, archives/library studies.
PROJECT RESULTS
The project will have the following major results (but not only):
– Competence Framework with Learning Outcomes used as a base for micro-units (Educational Modules) using microcredential approach;
– Educational Modules based on micro-credential approach;
– Educational Movies;
– LMS with Modules based on micro-credential approach;
– Guide for teachers;
– Training Course;
– Multiplier events and Final conference;
– Exchange and dissemination activities.
Short project description
The Erasmus+ project Modernizing the Archaeological Higher Education – Apollonia Pontica and the Mediterranean World (DigiAmphorae) contributes to the modernization and accessibility of the European higher education in the fields of Archaeology, History and Cultural heritage management by developing and supporting innovative teaching approaches and promote the use of digital practices in education and research. The project addresses also the need for publishing a great fund of not yet published amphorae, stored in the History museum of Primorsko and other museums, for the purposes of specialized Higher education (HE). The ancient amphorae have a great scientific potential and are fundamental for the historical understanding of Europe. They reveal important evidence of the trade contacts in ancient Europe, in particular in the great ancient city of Apollonia Pontica.
The following activities are planned:
– development of structured data-base and online Learning Management System with amphorae artifacts suitable for integration in higher education courses;
– exchange of experience transnational meetings for coordination and management of the project;
– summer field school (an educational event);
– events and activities for promoting the project results and one Final conference.
All products developed in the frame of the project are free and available in all partner languages – English, Bulgarian, French and Romanian.
